Half Life 2 Saga Continues

The theft of a portion of the source code for Half Life 2 has been confirmed by the developer Valve, along with the acknowledgement that the code and partial games are starting to appear online.

This news follows yesterday's statement from Vivendi Universal, Half Life 2's distrubitor, that approximately one third of the source code was stolen, forcing a delay in the release of the sure blockbuster game. The sequal to one of the best selling PC games of all time.

Various gaming websites have also reported that partial versons of the game are now being found online. And while the versions of the game created from the stolen code have been reported being found online, a Valve spokes person said that hackers had used a flaw in a Microsoft Corp program to gain access to a number of computers at the Washington state based Valve.
