Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Released!
Tuesday November 10, 2009
The long wait for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is now over as the game has officially been released. Many retailers in the US (WalMart & Best Buy) are having special midnight openings for those gamers who can't wait until morning to get their hands on the first person shooter. You will also be able to download via Steam as of 12:01 am on Tuesday.
Only time will tell if all the hype surrounding this game was worth it. Some of the news for Modern Warfare 2 in recent weeks surrounding the PC version have not been met with open arms. Many are still very skeptical about the elimination of dedicated multiplayer servers and bringing the game more inline with console versions as a setback for the PC platform. For more information on the game and it's release be sure to visit the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Launch Center

It’s not just no dedi servers, it’s: No console, no lean, player cap in mp, IW/Activision’s lack of interest in feedback, no dedi servers, full steam integration, latency, IW.net/P2P, listing “mouse control, text chat, and graphics settings” as features. I’m sure there is more, but I’m too upset to care. Maybe if they wouldn’t have released all of this 3 weeks before launch, it would be easier to take.
