Guide Review - Battlefield: 1942
The game comes with a dozen or so maps, from Stalingrad to Berlin, and Wake Island to Tobruk ever theater of war is covered. There are also a number of fan created maps that have become extremely popular.
For those who are more technically savvy you may want to check out the the Battlefield: 1942 SDK(software development kit) from Electronic Arts, it's available for free download.
The online multi-player capability is what makes this game. First off there are no fees such as World War II Online, second the game play and variety of settings is excellent.
The limited single player mode, is a little disappointment, but what it lacks in single player, it makes up for in the multi-player capability allowing games with up to 64 other players.
If single player WW2 games is what you're looking for, you'll want to stick with Medal of Honor or Return to Castle Wolfenstein. BF1942's many multi-player facets make this one unique gaming experience.
