ICED! is a free computer game in which players take on the role of an illegal immigrant and his or her quest to avoid authorities and eventual deportation. The game's title comes from the Department of Homeland Security's Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Department. According to the game's creator, Breakthrough, the game is meant as an educational tool to illustrate the unfairness of immigration laws of the United States. However critics argue that it simply marginalizes the issue of immigration and consequences of breaking the law.Because of this ICED! has become quite controversial and has received a lot of press from both sides of the debate.
