Quality of Site: 3/5:

Take Game offers a solid list of games with about 440 games listed. The home page for Take Game gives a brief introduction about the site and lists the top monthly games and latest addition. Take Game does not contain freeware games exclusively, included are shareware and some abandonware titles. Some of the shareware games are not always labeled as such before downloading so it can be a little confusing when your game suddenly ends because you'll need to purchase the full version. Overall that doesn't diminsh the fact that Take Game has some great freeware/abandonware games available both old and new.

Searching: 3.5/5:

There is not a specific text search feature on Take Game but the games are organized well enough by genre to the point where it's not difficult to browse the collection. In the genre listings shareware games are listed as such but it's not always clear if it's shareware once you get to the game download link. For example, Risk 2 is listed as shareware in the Strategy genre listing but the Risk 2 detail page makes no mention of it being shareware. Overall that doesn't diminsh the fact that Take Game has some great freeware/abandonware games available both old and new.
