Cave Story is an original freeware platformer in which players are on a quest to escape from a cave. The game is loaded with weapons, gadgets and power-ups to help you with enemies and each level's boss fight. There are a total of nine different weapons, gadgets such as a jet pack and life capsules and power-ups such as health and energy.

Cave Story is a Japanese game but there is an English patch available at both of the download links. Cave Story.org also has a number of ports of the game for Mac, Nintendo DS, PSP, and GP2X(Linux).
