Alone in the Dark is the fifth title in the survival horror video game series which started back in 1992 with the original Alone in the Dark. The story picks up with Edward Carnby, the main character from the previous four titles as he investigates mysterious and supernatural incidents in secret tunnels below Central Park in New York City. In addition the game also explores other mysteries and rumors of Central Park.
The game has also been promoted as being open-ended following a non-linear story where the player's actions will decide how the story plays out. The game is scheduled for release in late June 2008 as a Games for Windows title. It will also be available for the Xbox 306, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 2.
