Empire Earth 2

Game Page

By Michael Klappenbach, About.com

Description
From Guide - Empire Earth 2 is the follow up game to Empire Earth but it is not really a sequel. Instead it sounds strikeingly similiar to the original. The basic game storyline and game play is typical of many real time strategy games. Start your civilization from nothing and build it up, advancing throuh different ages becoming more powerful and gaining more technology. Empire Earth 2 is one of the few RTS games that starts from the dawn of man and takes you through the entire modern or "human" history of the planet.

Empire Earth 2 splits the historical time periods into 15 epochs and as you advance through these epochs you new and improved units and buildings become available for your use. For those looking for a complete travel through huiman history this looks like the game for you, the 15 epochs include the Stone Age, Copper Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Dark Age, Middle Age, Renaissance, Imperial, Enlightment, Industrial, Modern, Atomic, Digital, Genetic, and Synthetic with the last two ages and part of the Digital Age taking place in the future.

Empire Earth 2 improves over the original with better graphics, 14 different civilizations, greater variety of buildings, and more units. The number of units seems impressive with more than 40 different land, sea, and air unit types for each civilization.
