The fourth installment in the popular quake series of games from Id Software, Quake 4 is a sci-fi first person action game that places you in the mid 21st century. As Matthew Kane, a member of Earth Defense Force's Rhino Squad, you must battle against the Strogg, an alien race made from metal and machinery fused with decaying body parts which are gained by annihilation of other worlds and civilizations.
The Strogg's invasion of Earth did not fair well but in the ensuing counter attack Earth's force are virtually destroyed with the exception of one marine who is able to break through and destroy the big gun and defeat the Strogg's leader. In Quake 4 it is your duty is to penetrate the world of the Strogg in Earth's second assault and ultimately destroy the barbaric alien race. In order to do this you must first become one of them.
Quake 4's story line picks up immediately after the events in Quake 2 and continues the long war between the Strogg and humans, taking players an epic invasion of the barbaric alien planet. It includes both indoor and outdoor environments in which you will fight alongside marines in small squad missions as well as large epic battles. At your disposal will be mech walkers, hover tanks, and hi-tech weaponry.
The multiplayer game mode for Quake 4 has arena-style combat which includes deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the flag games played as either marines or Strogg.

Quake 4 Released
Quake 4 has been this week, the highly anticipated game picks up the storyline and continues the interstellar war between the Earth and the Stroggs.
