Wolfenstein is the sequel to Return to Castle Wolfenstein which introduced us to B.J. Blazkowicz and the secret occult division of Heinrich Himmler's SS. Wolfenstein picks up after the events in RtCW and is set in 1943 during the height of World War 2. Players are once again put in the role of B.J. Blazkowicz, a special agent for the Office of Secret Actions (OSA). Once behind enemy lines Blazkowicz discovers that the Nazi's have developed a new weapon of unlimited power. It's B.J.'s job to defeat this new threat from Himmler's SS and it's efforts to harness mysterious occult powers, known as the Black Sun.

Wolfenstein includes a full single player campaign and a multiplayer portion. The game also includes plenty of enemies, World War 2 era and supernatural weapons.

Enemies:
 • SS Infantry - Traditional SS infantry soldiers, fearless and fanatical.
 • Scribes - Nazi scholars assigned to research the Black Sun.
 • Veil Heavy Trooper - Nazi troops that are equiped with armour developed from the Black Sun.
 • Despoiled - Undead soldiers brought back with the powers of the Black Sun.
 • Elite Guard - Very aggresive, special forces.
 • Veil Assassins - Assassins skilled in stealth and hand to hand combat, armed with supernatural blades in each hand.
 • The Altered - Scientists that have been transformed by the Black Sun into a fierce monster.
