Battlefield 2 Euro Force was the first booster pack released fro Battlefield 2 and as the name suggests it includes a new faction called the European Union. The booster pack also introduces seven new weapons, four new drivable vehicles and three new multiplayer maps. This booster pack along with the Armored Fury booster pack is available for free in the Battlefield 2 v1.50 update/patch.

Battlefield 2 Special Forces is the only official expansion pack for Battlefield 2. While most of the new features are infantry based there are 10 drivable vehicles as well as new gadgets such as night vision, gas masks and more. The expansion pack contains 8 new maps.

Battlefield 2 is the third full release in the Battlefield series of games and has received very favorable reviews, with the gaming standing up well today, nearly 7 years later. In Battlefield 2 players will fight for one of three factions, the United States, China or a coalition of nations from the Middle East. In includes more than two dozen vehicles that can be used in combat and support for battles up with up to 64 players. Battlefield 2 also introduces some new player classes that have since become standard in multiplayer modes of other shooters.

Battlefield Vietnam as the title suggests is set in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. As with Battlefield: 1942 players will fight on one of two teams for various control points located on historically based maps. Battlefield Vietnam also includes different kits based on the army you play for (US or North Vietnam), Vietnamese have more guerrilla warfare style tactics while the US more traditional weaponry and vehicles. The game was updated in a redux version released in March 2005 that included all game patches up to that point, new maps, vehicles and a World War II mod based on Battlefield: 1942.

Battlefield 1942 also includes a single player mode, but lacks an in depth storyline.
