Grand Theft Auto Series

Grand Theft Auto IV is actually the sixth title in the Grand Theft Auto series of games to make it to the PC. In it players take on the role of Nikolai "Niko" Bellic who has come to Liberty City to start a new life. Soon after arriving Niko must fend for himself and turns to a life of crime.

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas follows gang member Carl Johnson (aka "CJ") on his return to his home town of Los Santos in the fictional San Andreas state. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas may be the most controversial title in the Grand Theft Auto series when it was slapped with an Adults Only rating after the discovery of hidden adult material which was unlocked with the Hot Coffee Mod. This content has since been removed.

The story for Grand Theft Auto Vice City revolves around Tommy Vercetti, a low level mobster who's looking to make a name for himself in a fictional version of 1980s Miami called Vice City. Grand Theft Auto was built using the same game engine used for Grand Theft Auto III so the game play and graphics are quite similar.

Grand Theft Auto 3 is a third person action/adventure game that puts you in the shoes of a common criminal who gets a lucky break and escapes from the police during transfer to prison. It is also the first game in the series to use the 3D third person and sandbox game play which has made the series one of the best selling of all time.

Grand Theft Auto 2 uses the same 2 dimensional/top down game play of the original Grand Theft Auto. In it players have ability to steel cars and explore the city on foot or in vehicles. The game also contains multiple games and three levels that are all mission based. The first game in the series looks quite a bit different from what you may be use to seeing in a Grand Theft Auto game. Grand Theft Auto is a 2D, top down viewpoint game that follows a series of missions/levels each set in a city with the main objective of scoring a certain number of points which opens the game to harder/higher missions and levels.
