Action Adventure

Games in the action adventure genre typically have a nice mix of combat, adventure/exploration and simple problem and puzzle solving. That's not to say they lack action though, but it's usually not the non-stop ride found in many shooters.

Action Shooters

Shooters are combat style games played from either a first person or third person perspective in which player's accomplish either linear or sandbox style missions and objectives that move the storyline. To help them succeed, in-game characters are typically equiped with various weapons, armor and other gadgets found through out the game maps and levels. The games listed in this section include both traditional first and third person shooters from various game settings/themes such as World War 2, science fiction, modern military, and more.

Role Playing

The Role Playing games for the PC are steep in tradition with many all time classics. Diablo, Baldur's Gate, Bards Tale just to name a few. While the role playing genre has changed over the years, the core fundamentals have not; Characters earn experience and advance throughout the game to earn new skills, powers and abilities to take on bigger and nastier enemies.

Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games

Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games have taken the PC gaming industry by storm the past few years. The first graphical MMORPGs sprang up in the 1990s like the fantasy MMORPGs EverQuest and Ultima Online. The genre has since expanded from the fantasy theme to include Sci-Fi, Pirates, and Modern themes.

Strategy Games

Strategy games are can be broken up into two sub genres or game play styles; grand, detailed oriented turn based stragey and the action packed, fast paced real time stragey.
