Guide Review - Saitek Eclipse II Keyboard

Right out of the box you can tell the Eclipse II is different from an ordinary keyboard. The overall construction and solid material give the Eclipse II the edge over a standard keyboards when it comes to holding up to repeated and possible rough use though gaming. The keyboard's weight and four rubber feat ensure that it will remain in place on your desk in either of it's angle positions.

Quite similar in appearance to Saitek's original gaming keyboard, there are some nice changes. The Eclipse II illuminates both keys characters and keypad in three different colors (Purple, Blue or Red) which is adjustable with the keyboard's dimmer. In addition to the standard 104 keys, the Eclipse II also includes media keys for volume, play/pause and skip tracks.

While the Eclipse II doesn't have all the bells and whistles of other gaming keyboards such as programmable and gaming specific keys, it does offer superb comfort and solid construction that can withstand most beatings that gamers can dish out.
