Graphics & Sound
Gamers have been spoiled of late with game graphics, there have been so many enhancements that's graphics from just a couple years ago looked dated by twice that time. The graphics for Brothers In Arms are excellent and on par with that of Doom 3, Half-Life 2, and the other breakthrough games from last year. Gearbox Software built it's own graphics engine as it also moves away from the heavily scripted games such as Medal of Honor by removing some of the predictability and the movie cut-in's.
The sound effects are top-notch the M1 Garand, M1A1 Paratrooper rifle, Thompson Sub-Machine gun, tanks and virtually ever other weapon in the game sound like the actual thing. The character voice overs are also done very nicely with some voices done by actors from the actual Band of Brothers miniseries.
Summary
It's hard to find any faults with Brothers In Arms, even when looking for one. The added dimension of squad based tactical game play along with the diminishment of the overused scripted missions, Brothers In Arms takes World War 2 first person shooters a step forward and delivers an thoroughly entertaining game.
