Graphics/Audio
The character models in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 are excellent and very detailed. Character movements before shots, and reactions after are very realistic. The detailed graphics are especially noticeable in the Game Face portion of the game where the golfer's look is created, by adding facial features such as wrinkles, freckles, age spots and more.The courses also look spectacular with life like trees and a noticeable difference between rough and fare way grass as well as the fringe and greens. The same beautiful shot perspectives seen in Tiger Woods 2005 are back as well and looking better than ever, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 doesn't leave a detail overlooked.
Audio is also top notch, chirping of birds and the rustle of trees can be heard in the detailed background sounds all while the realistic swing and hits of aluminum golf clubs is occurring. The audio experience is best heard on a surround sound system that puts you as close to outdoors as your computer can get you. In game commentary is provided by David Feherty and David McCord, their golf tips provide a great deal of help in terms of club selection and putting, but their comments in reaction to shots do become a bit of an annoyance after hearing them multiple times.

Tiger Woods PGA Tiger 06 is a great improvement upon a very good Tiger Woods 2005, with new game modes and even better graphics it's a new title you won't want to pass over. The detailed graphics will put a strain on mid-level machines but the overall game play and graphics make for a great and unique gaming experience. If you're looking for even more fun from Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006 try playing it with a trackball mouse. The XAracade Trackball Mouse in particular enables a "Golden Tee" style of game play.
