Guide Review - Call of Duty United Offensive
In Call of Duty United Offensive you play as one of three soldiers, an American paratrooper, a British commando and a Russian infantry as you battle in the many counter attacks that the Germans threw at the Allies in WW2; The Battle of the Bulge, Kursk, Bastogne and others.
You begin United Offensive as the American paratrooper in the battle for Bastogne, fighting against tanks, half-tracks, troops and nearly everything else in the German arsenal. The battles are scripted much in the same fashion as Call of Duty and the same intense firefights are here in all their glory. After the American campaign you are put in the shoes of a British commando on a mission to destroy large costal guns on Sicily. It finally ends with you as a Russian Infantryman battling the Germans on the eastern front.
The graphics and sound are once again superb, with the single player portion of the games offers about 10 hrs of game-play. There are also new weapons at your disposal throughout the game. The multiplayer portion includes new game modes, the domination mode and conquest mode, as well as 10 new maps, drivable vehicles and new weapons.
Call of Duty United Offensive lives up to my high expectations and more than worthy to be called as good if not better than the original Call of Duty.
