Guide Review - Medal of Honor Pacific Assault Review
Playing the role of Marine Tommy Conlin, Medal of Honor Pacific Assault opens as one would expect, with the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. The single player campaign has some 20 missions and covers most of the Pacific, as you hop from island to island. The multiplayer game offers four classes of soldiers; infantry, corpsman, combat engineer, or ammo technician, and 3 modes of play; deathmatch, free for all, and an objective based mode called invader.
The one new feature that I liked that made the game more challenging and fun was the way you have to manage your health. Gone are the health canteens and first aid kits. In Pacific its up to summon your squads medic to restore some or all of your health.
Medal of Honor Pacific Assault features virtually all types of weapons and machines of war from both sides, and has a very challenging AI at harder levels. Ultimately however, its continually bogged down by terribly long load times and the graphics dont match that of games released prior to it such as Half-Life 2 or Doom 3.
