The Godfather The Game from Electronic Arts was inspiried by the famous Godfather book and movie about the Corleone family of New York city in the 1940s and 50s. In The Godfather The Game you join the Corleone family and rise through the ranks until you reach the ultimate goal of becoming a Don. Allows you to customize characters to your liking and has an open ended game play that allows you to rise from the lowly ranks to a powerful Don.

The Godfather The Game contains a non-linear story line and gameplay that will offer players many options for solving the problems of the Corleone family by either violence diplomacy or a mix of both. Mob hits, bank robberys, and extortion are just a few of the game play elements that let you step inside the world of a 1950s gangster. One must make wise decisions as interactions with various people throughout the game can and do affect the outcome.

To back up the action and adventure found in the game play is the game's graphics and audio. All of the character likenesses seen in The Godfather movie are included as well as some of the most popular character voices. Actors lending their voice to The Godfather The Game include James Caan as Sonny, Robert Duvall as Tom Hagen and the late Marlon Brando as Don Vito Corleone.
